Lions Clubs International is the world's largest community service organization with clubs around the world. There are nearly 1.35 million men and women members of Lions clubs in 194 countries. In fact our members are our most important asset. Without them the Lions would not be nearly as successful in their many endeavours.
As a Member of the Toronto Beaches Lions Club (TBLC) you will experience:
-
Pride in commitment and service to our community.
The Lions' motto is: "We Serve". Service to both our local and international communities. This common goal of service is what binds our members. The TBLC has been proudly serving our community for over 80 years. Putting others before oneself is what defines a Lion. Feel the sense of personal enrichment by lending a helping hand to those in need. It is easy to feel empowered, as together we accomplish what individually would be very difficult.
-
Personal Growth & Leadership Development.
As a Lion you will be given many opportunities through mentoring and training programs to enrich yourself and to reach your personal potential. At our regular meetings guest speakers both inform and entertain. Leadership development is highly encouraged and is basic tenet of Lionism. Members naturally develop confidence and ease in public speaking. Lions are the leaders of the community by their acts and through their training.
-
Fun & Fellowship.
As a member of the TBLC you will likely develop life long friendships with many of the amazing people you will meet at the Club. Strong personal relationships between members forms the strong foundation of the TBLC. Fun and service is the heart of the TBLC. Members also have the opportunity to meet and serve with worldwide members at International Convention & exchange programs. Proudly wearing your Lions Club pin, you will make instant friendships as you will be welcomed by Lions in over 194 different countries.
-
Networking and Professional Development.
Since the earliest days of the formation of Lions International it was established that "No club shall hold out the financial betterment of its members as its object." This call for unselfish service to others remains one of the association's main tenets. Notwithstanding this, with so many prominent members of the East Toronto business community in the TBLC, business development and networking occurs naturally and successfully.
